PIRS is a volunteer-based organization and as such, we depend on our trained volunteers to help us reach those who need our services. Therefore we offer the opportunity for Canadians and Newcomers to work with immigrant and refugee women, and their children.
PIRS invites you to join our volunteer programs in a number of different ways. Here are some ways you can help:
- Language Learner’s Assistant
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant
- Special Project Assistant
- Office Assistant
- Special Event Volunteer
- Board & Committee Volunteer
PIRS recruits volunteers from September to June. We ask all our volunteers to fill out an application form, attend an orientation session and go through a screening process.
After attending the orientation and completing the volunteer screening process we then place you in a program/position based on your skills, interests and availability.
