This fall, PIRS is excited to re-launch the Entry to Hospitality Careers for Women program in partnership with VCC. The fully-funded course equips women with the foodsafe and hospitality skills necessary to work in the hotel, senior care home, and restaurant industry. The training also includes a two-week practicum where women can gain Canadian work experience.
- Be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or legally entitled to work in Canada (refugee claimants with a work permit or SIN number also eligible)
- Have a LINC/CLB English level of 4 and above
- Be unemployed and not on EI
- Be able to commit to a part-time program (10:30am-1:30pm) for 12 weeks (childminding for 18 months-5 years available)
