Story Time

PIRS > Programs & Services > Children's Programs > Story Time

PIRS Story Time is a group program for immigrant women and their young children that focuses on learning rhymes, stories and songs together as a way for mothers and children to develop language skills and to relax and have fun together.

The program is for families with young children (from babies to 5 years old) who want to learn ways to help their children’s language development and to meet and learn with other families.

The benefit of the program includes learning basic, everyday English, and simple children’s songs stories and rhymes which will encourage growth in language development and social skills.  For the families, this is also an opportunity to find out about other resources, meet people, make friends and have fun.
