PIRS and VCC Re-Launch Entry to Hospitality Careers for Women program

This fall, PIRS is excited to re-launch the Entry to Hospitality Careers for Women program in partnership with VCC. The fully-funded course equips women with the foodsafe and hospitality skills necessary to work in the hotel, senior care home, and restaurant industry. The training also includes a two-week practicum where women can gain Canadian work experience.

PIRS is currently recruiting for the next cohort set to begin on September 11, 2017. In order to be eligible, women must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or legally entitled to work in Canada (refugee claimants with a work permit or SIN number also eligible)
  • Have a LINC/CLB English level of 4 and above
  • Be unemployed and not on EI
  • Be able to commit to a part-time program (10:30am-1:30pm) for 12 weeks (childminding for 18 months-5 years available)
