How it works

PIRS Pop-Up Childcare offers flexible, on-site childcare services for community events, conferences, workshops, and programs across Metro Vancouver and other cities upon request. Our goal is to provide safe, inclusive, and engaging short-term childcare so parents and caregivers can participate fully in events, knowing their children are well cared for.

Before the Event

Service Request Form: The organizer submits a Service Request Form outlining event details (date, location, number of children, etc.).

Planning & Coordination: PIRS coordinates staffing, space setup requirements, materials, and age-appropriate activities based on the anticipated number and ages of children.

Communication with Organizer: We confirm the logistics and provide any necessary documentation or support, such as insurance, safety plans, and sign-in/out procedures.

During the Event

Arrival & Setup: Staff arrive early to set up a welcoming, child-friendly space with toys, crafts, books, and other engaging materials.

Check-In: Parents/guardians sign their children in, complete any required forms, and receive a quick orientation if needed.

Child Care Delivery: Our trained staff supervise and engage children in fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate activities throughout the event. We maintain a low child-to-staff ratio for quality care.

Safety & Inclusion: We follow health and safety protocols, ensure culturally safe environments, and accommodate children’s individual needs as much as possible.

After the Event

Check-Out: Parents/guardians pick up their children and sign them out. Staff ensure a smooth and secure transition.

Clean-Up: The team tidies up the child care area and packs away materials.

Communication with Organizer: We confirm the logistics and provide any necessary documentation or support, such as insurance, safety plans, and sign-in/out procedures.

Feedback & Follow-Up: We may request feedback from the event organizer and staff to continuously improve our services. Organizers are welcome to reach out for future bookings or questions.

Customized for your event

Our childcare services are tailored to each event and are available during the day or evening, seven days a week. Complete the Request to Book and we will contact you with the next steps.
