Join the PIRS Fund Development Committee

Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS) is looking for passionate and connected volunteers to join our newly established Fund Development Committee.

This committee was created to help strengthen PIRS’s fundraising efforts and build sustainable, unrestricted funding that allows us to continue empowering immigrant and refugee women and their families.

We’re inviting current volunteers and past Board members who are interested in making a strategic impact beyond direct service. If you enjoy building relationships, connecting people, generating ideas, or supporting community initiatives, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

  • Help brainstorm and implement creative fundraising initiatives.
  • Leverage your personal and professional networks to identify potential donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Support fundraising events, campaigns, and donor engagement activities.
  • Serve as an ambassador for PIRS by sharing our mission and connecting others to our work.
  • Collaborate with Board and staff to strengthen PIRS’s long-term financial sustainability.

We’re looking for volunteers who have experience or interest in areas such as:

  • Fundraising and donor engagement
  • Event planning
  • Marketing and communications
  • Corporate or community partnerships
  • Business development or networking
  • Community leadership

Committee members will work alongside a Board Chair, PIRS staff, and fellow volunteers in a collaborative and action-oriented environment.

Commitment

  • Approximately one meeting per month (minimum of six meetings annually)
  • Meetings may be held virtually or in person
  • Opportunities to support fundraising activities between meetings, depending on your availability

As representatives of PIRS, committee members will be asked to uphold our Volunteer Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Policy, and confidentiality requirements while ensuring all fundraising activities reflect our values of equity, inclusion, dignity, and empowerment.

If you’re excited about helping PIRS expand its impact by strengthening our fundraising efforts, we’d love to welcome you to this new committee.
