Occupation-specific FREE Englishtraining program for women interestedin working in the early learningand childcare field
June 5 – August 31, 2023
9:15 am – 3:00 pm
Hybrid: in-person at 7485 Salisbury Ave,Burnaby and online via Zoom
Program Benefits:
Occupation-specific language classes
Responsible Adult, First Aid, FoodSafe Certificate training
Essential and digital skills improvement
Trauma-informed approaches to early learning
Employment counselling and career exploration
Work transition skills training
Paid work experience (40 hours)
Connection to work opportunities in the field
Transportation costs and childminding provided for in-person sessions
A supportive and friendly learning environment
Eligibility Criteria:
Women who are permanent residents, convention refugees, protected, with CUAETCLB 5 or equivalent in English (online assessment in registration link)Able to attend all program sessionsPathways toChildcareCareers
